2018 Foradori Teroldego Vigneti Delle Dolomiti
Foradori’s entry level Teroldego is medium bodied, fresh and lively, and very approachable. It is balanced with the perfect amount of fruit, earth, and unique blood orange-like acidity. It has a perfect burgundian-like mix where cherry tones are wrapped in aromas of forest floor and garnished with italian black olives and herbs. The fruit is harvested by hand, destemmed with some whole clusters left intact (varies by vintage) and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and with no sulfur (until racking and bottling). Aging takes place in cement tanks and used foudres of 20-40 hectoliters for about a year. This is also a food and party wine with the lift above a glu-glu wine, a look into the greatness of Foridori’s cuvee level Teroldego. It is very versatile and can be enjoyed with: chicken with herbs and spices, tomato based sauces, hearty vegetable dishes, homemade pizza, & charcuterie. Biodynamically farmed.
